Donald Moore Floyd

Donald Moore Floyd, 86, husband of Karen Campbell Floyd, died Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at McLeod Hospice House in Florence.

Mr. Floyd was born on December 26, 1934 in Lake City, son of the late Hagood C. Floyd and Mary Moore Floyd. He was a graduate of Lake City High School and The University of South Carolina. Mr. Floyd was a Veteran of the United States Army, a member of Lake City First Baptist Church and retired from W. Lee Flowers after 49 years of service.

Surviving are his wife, Karen C. Floyd of Lake City; sons, Donald Alan (Anne) Floyd and Robert Walker (Tammy) Floyd, both of Florence and Richard Douglas (Carrie) Floyd of Murrells Inlet; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother, Howard (Janet) Floyd of Lake City; and sister, Sarah Floyd (Johnny) McDaniel of Lake City.

Mr. Floyd was preceded in death by his son, Richard Philip Floyd; and brother, Hagood Charles Floyd.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Lake City First Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Lake City Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton.
