Donald Woodrow "Woody" Odom, Jr.

Donald Woodrow "Woody" Odom, Jr. 51, died Tuesday, January 19, 2021, at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence.

Mr. Odom was born on September 5, 1969 in Florence county, son of Brenda Kay Miles Odom and the late Donald Woodrow Odom. Woody was a graduate of Hannah Pamplico High School and attended Florence Darlington Technical College. Before his health declined, he was a supervisor with Pee Dee Food service. He and his dad operated Odom’s Sugarfoot Kennels. Woody was a member of the APA Eight and Nine Ball Pool League, and The Black Creek Coon Club. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and playing pool.

Surviving in addition to his mother, Brenda Kay Odom of Effingham, are his children, Miranda Odom Cox of Effingham, Cody Odom of Lakewood, CO and Evan (Jordan) Odom of Pamplico; mother of his children, Tichsa Davis of Timmonsville; brother, Myles (Rhonda) Odom of Scranton; sister, Jennifer (Danny) Weber of Lake City; special little girl, Kayleigh Matthews, who loved her uncle Woody; many special aunts and uncles; furry friends, Tater and Camo.

The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Carolina Funeral Home and other times at the home of Myles & Rhonda Odom, 3678 Creek Road, Lake City, SC 29560.

Memorials may be made to Carolina Funeral Home, 215 E. Hwy 378 Bypass, Scranton, SC, 29591, in memory of Woody.

Due to COVID-19, the family request for everyone to wear a mask and please maintain the 6 foot social distancing.  The family also request everyone to please refrain from hand shaking and hugging one another.
