Donnie Mae (McKay) Parrott

Mrs. Donnie Mae McKay Parrott, 79, wife of the late Thomas “Pet” Parrott, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Lake City Scranton Healthcare.

Mrs. Parrott was born on March 10, 1946, in Florence County, daughter of the late Henry Lee McKay and Mamie Lou Singletary McDonald. She attended Scranton Pentecostal Holiness Church, loved working in her yard, and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her children, Tommy (Marion) Parrott of Scranton, Thedis (Robert) McKenzie of Olanta, Ricky (Diane) Floyd of Lake City and Raymond Shaw; grandchildren, Melanie (Brandon) Jones, Dylan (Damion) Parrott, Heather Demery, Spenser (Stephanie) McKenzie; 11 great grandchildren; brothers, Ralph (Ann) McKay, Willard (Gloria) McKay and Jesse McKay.

Mrs. Parrott was preceded in death by her twin sons, Tommy and Thomas Parrott; sisters, Deloris McKay, Elmer Anderson, Margie Morris; brother, Leroy McKay.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Carolina Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Strickland-Feagin Cemetery.
