Mrs. Dorothy H. “Dot” Floyd, 79, wife of the late Delbert Floyd, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at MUSC Florence.
Mrs. Floyd was born on May 9, 1947, in Florence County, daughter of the late Willard Horne and Annie Bell Hicks Horne Matthews. She was a member of Floyd Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mrs. Floyd treasured her family dearly, and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. Art classes were a passion of Mrs. Dot’s and she enjoyed being able to take part in those classes.
Surviving are her daughter, Nicole Floyd; daughter-in-law, Marie Floyd; grandchildren, Mason Floyd and Breanna Floyd; sisters, Audrey (Rev. Darby) Welch, Mary Turner, Louise Miles, Net Prosser; brother, Larry (Donna) Horne; sisters-in-law, Karen (Larry) Porter, Jeannette (Jerry) Angelo, Philisa Floyd; brother-in-law, Jamie (Michelle) Floyd.
Mrs. Floyd was preceded in death by her son, Rodney Floyd; brother, Buddy Horne; brothers-in-law, Wesley Floyd, Randy Floyd, Billy Floyd; sister-in-law, Jensy Floyd; father and mother-in-law, Doris and Thelma Floyd.
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Floyd Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.
