Douglas Scott Filyaw

Mr. Douglas Scott Filyaw, 60, of Lake City, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025, at his residence.

Mr. Filyaw was born on July 30, 1965, in Florence County, son of Jerri Johnson Filyaw and the late Douglas Junior Filyaw. He was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

Surviving are his son, Caleb Filyaw; mother, Jerri Johnson Filyaw; sisters, Ginny Singletary Prosser and Joan (Wayne) Wilson; nieces and nephews, Nikki Prosser McInville, Drew Prosser Karla Prosser Joshua Singletary, Maxi lee, Ryan Lee and Madison Lee; great nieces and great nephew, Katherine Bair, Jacob Singletary and Marley Lee; special friends, Will Rodriguez, Donna Powell and Melody Shady.

Mr. Filyaw was preceded in death by a brother, Maxie Todd Singletary and a sister, Robin Singletary.

A Celebration of Life will be at 4:00 PM, Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Carolina Funeral Home, with visitation to follow the service.
