Dwight David Davis, Sr.

Mr. Dwight David Davis, Sr., 72, of Florence, husband of the late Barbara Hutchinson Davis, passed away Thursday, April 10, 2025, at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center.

Mr. Davis was born on January 1, 1953, in Florence County, son of the late James Monroe Davis and Gladys Elizabeth Powers Davis. Mr. Davis was a retired machine operator for Lewis Tree Company. He enjoyed spending his time fishing, playing his Xbox, and sitting on the front porch. He loved talking with people and never met a stranger, always ready with a smile and a conversation.

Surviving are his children, Dwight David (Lisa) Davis, Jr. and Jenny Lynn Pierce (fiancé, Jonathan); grandchildren, Daniel N. Davis, Julia L. Davis, Jason B. Pierce and Veronica H. Pierce; sisters, Linda Custis and JoAnn Davis.

Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his siblings, Buddy Davis, Shirley Larrimore, Monroe Davis and Jeanette Nolan.

Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM, Monday, April 14, 2025, at The Church of God of the Firstborn, 2820 Sammy’s Lane, Florence.
