Mr. Dylan Thomas Purvis, 26, of Turbeville, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at McLeod Regional Medical Center of the Pee Dee, Florence.
Dylan was born on November 26, 1999, in Florence County, son of Pete Purvis of Lake City and Pamela Purvis of Turbeville. He was a graduate of East Clarendon High School and has devoted the last several years working at Expert Entertainment. He loved his job and had a strong work ethic. Dylan deeply loved spending time with his family and many friends. He was always ready with his humorous comments, quick wit and infectious smile. He left a lasting impression on all who crossed his path.
Surviving are his brothers, Charlie (Stephanie) Purvis of Florence and Carson (Sarah) Purvis of Lake City; sister, Brittney (Daniel) Welch of Turbeville; devoted and loving girlfriend and love of his life, Madison Todd of Turbeville; grandparents, Ray & Margie Welch; nieces and nephews, Trenton Welch, Connor Welch, Stella Welch, Kinsley Welch, Benton Powell, Harmony Gazley, Elijah Purvis and Sofie Purvis; best friend, Marquis Pearson.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Carolina Funeral Home, and other times at 2079 Central Road, Lake City.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Great Commission Ministries, with burial to follow at Turbeville Southern Methodist Church Cemetery.
