Earnest Dennis "Chuck" Bazen, 73, husband of Brenda C. Bazen, died Thursday, March 4, 2021, at his residence.
Mr. Bazen was born on January 28, 1948 in Florence County, son of the late Gilbert Dennis Bazen and Gwendolyn McCutcheon Bazen. He retired as a Mechanical Engineer from Asea Brown Boveri and attended St. Philip Catholic Church. Mr. Bazen loved fishing, woodworking, taking trips to Maine and most of all, spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 53 years, Brenda Cyr Bazen; daughter, Amy Bazen-Fox of Thomasville, NC; son, Christopher (Christal) Bazen of Johnsonville; granddaughters, Erin Polk and Maegan Bazen, both of Johnsonville; grandson, Matthew Bazen of Johnsonville; great granddaughter, Madelyn Kate Williams of Johnsonville; brother, Arnette (Regina) Bazen of Scranton; sister, Robin Langston of Darlington; nephew, Carroll (Susanna) Bazen of Pamplico; niece, Ashley (Tripp) Fryar of Lake City.
Mr. Bazen was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Bazen; nephew, Brian Bazen; son-in-law, Carlton Stacey Miles; sister-in-law, Betty Faye Bazen.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, March 6, 2021, at St. Philip Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Lake City Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM, Saturday, March 6, 2021, at Carolina Funeral Home, Scranton.
The family would like to extend a special "Thanks" to our neighbors, Tommy and Pam Lawhon, for their love, care and concern for our family during this time.
