Elizabeth (Gaskins) Marlow

Mrs. Elizabeth Gaskins Marlow, 84, wife of the late Luther Marlow, Sr, died Friday, June 17, 2022 at McLeod Hospice House, Florence, SC.

Elizabeth was born on August 10, 1937, in Florence County, daughter of the late Fred and Italine Hyman Gaskins. Elizabeth was known for her Free Will Baptist Faith and her smile and for the love she had for people.  One of her greatest joys was being able to cook for all the people that came into her home, which she always welcomed with that beautiful smile of hers.  Elizabeth also loved animals, gardening and farming. 

Surviving are her children, Luther “Sonny” (Myrtle) Marlow, Jr. of Moncks Corner and Millie (Jay Bird) Altman of Scranton; she was blessed with seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Marlow, Sr; son, Freddie Wesley Marlow and daughter, Sandra Marlow Nesbitt; sisters, Francis Cook and Barbara Ann Gaskins.

Funeral services will be 5:00 PM, Tuesday, June 21, 2022, Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton, with burial to follow at Lake Chapel Cemetery, Johnsonville.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
