Mrs. Elizabeth “Lib” Spring Yonas, 87, of Coward, wife of Neal Yonas, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at her residence.
Mrs. Yonas was born on March 7, 1937, in Lee County, daughter of the late George Dewey Spring and Lizzie Springs Spring. She was a 1955 graduate of Bonaire High School. After a dedicated career spanning 20 years at McLeod Regional Medical Center, she retired and devoted her time to her passion for ancestry. In addition to her professional and personal pursuits, she was an active member of Ariel Baptist Church. Known for her warm and welcoming nature, she never met a stranger. Mrs. Yonas cherished her family above all else and found joy in the beauty of flowers.
Surviving are her husband, Neal Yonas; siblings, Burnette Spring McKenzie, Adlevia S. (Jerry) Strawn, George (Mitzi) Spring, Donald (Donna) Spring, Julia Spring (Timmons) Floyd, Annette Spring (Butch) Cusaac and Jannette Spring (Lynn) Coward.
Mrs. Yonas was preceded in death by her sons, Roger Glen Lynch and Robert Ryan Lynch; first husband, Belton Bruce Lynch; siblings, Arnette Spring, Duewell Spring, Sudean Hanna and Margie Lee.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Matthews Cemetery, Coward.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
