Elloree Welch Coker

Elloree Welch Coker, 72, of Lake City, wife of Kelly Coker, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at her residence.

Mrs. Coker was born on July 28, 1950, in Clarendon County, daughter of the late June Welch and Ella Beard Welch. She was a member of Floyd Chapel PH Church, enjoyed auctions, flea markets and fishing at the Garden City Pier with her husband. While she loved many things in life, her family was her greatest pleasure.      

Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Kelly Coker of Lake City; daughter, Mitzie (Raymond) Tisdale of Lake City; granddaughter, Maci (Justin) Gause of Kingstree; grandson, Kell Tisdale (Skylah Porter)  of Lake City; great grandchild, Ava Gause of Kingstree; sister, Beatrice (James) McGee of Turbeville; sisters-in-law, Dessie Frye of Sumter, Rheba (Elbert) Welch of Lake City, Brenda Carraway of Florence, Elsie McKenzie of Lake City, and Donna Coker of Lake City; a number of nieces and nephews, many of whom were like her other grandchildren.

Mrs. Coker was preceded in death by an infant son, Kelton Coker; brother, J.B. Welch; niece, Tammy Roberson.

The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Amedisys hospice staff for their love and care.

Funeral services will be 5:00 PM, Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Floyd Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, with burial to follow at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
