Mrs. Eloise Frances Poston Yarborough Wilson, 83, of Florence, passed away Monday, November 3, 2025, at McLeod Hospice House.
Mrs. Wilson was born on February 2, 1942, in Florence County, daughter of the late Grover C. “Son” Poston and Ruth Powell Poston. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, whose greatest joy in this life was loving and caring for her family. She lived each day with a gentle spirit, a giving heart, and a deep faith in God that never wavered. Her strength was quiet but powerful, her kindness was steady, and her laughter could brighten even the hardest days. She poured herself into those she loved, always putting others before herself, and her love was felt in every meal she cooked, every prayer she prayed, and every sacrifice she made.
Her life beautifully reflected the heart of a Proverbs 31 woman—faithful, humble, steadfast, and full of grace. She was a longtime member of Lynches River Free Will Baptist Church, and for over 22 years worked in food service, later retiring from Krispy Kreme. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and family that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and especially in the ones she held closest.
Surviving are her daughters, Janet Burroughs, Shirleen (Jimmy) Cook and Kathy (Casey) Welch; grandchildren, Andrew Burroughs, Ryan Yarborough, Jamie Cook, Leslie (Kyle) McClam, Christopher (Heather) Welch, Bradley Welch, Karri Coward, Owen Cook and Daniel Cook; great grandchildren, Addisyn, Sawyer, Levi, Caleb and Emerson; step-daughter, Linda McCall; sister, Mildred Owens; son-in-law, Garry Coward; many loving nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Mark McMurtrey, Al Cribb and Jill Tidwell.
Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her first husband Harold L. Yarborough; second husband, Calvin Cyrus “CC” Wilson; daughter, Angie “Lynn” Yarborough Coward; brother, Carlton L. “Buck” Poston; step-daughter, Phyllis Preston; son-in-law, Andy Burroughs.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, November 7, 2025, at Carolina Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Kathy & Casey Welch, 6831 Salem Road, New Zion, SC.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Lynches River Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family would like to give a special Thank You to Alexis Mota, McLeod Hospice and her loving neighbors for their care and concern.
