Eulon F. Parrott

Mr. Eulon Furland Parrott, 82, husband of the late Harriett Oakley Parrott, passed away Monday, July 1, 2024, at his residence.

Mr. Parrott was born on April 4, 1942, in Florence County, son of the late Sid W. Parrott and Sallie Alma Matthews Parrott. He worked for Daniel Construction for 20 plus years. Mr. Parrott was an avid outdoorsman, was skilled at training bird dogs, loved to bird hunt, and raising game foul. He greatly enjoyed laughing, joking, and being around others.

Surviving are daughters, Cheryl (Mike) Sauls of Lake City, Carol (Danny) Cox of Timmonsville, Lisa (Jeff) Hallman of Saluda and Linda (Jack) Pate of Coward; stepson, Jerry (Patty) Hicks; step daughters, Joanne (Arnold) Fennel, Vivian (James) Matthews and Linda (Don) Nettles; grandchildren, Cliff (Melissa) Sauls, Darby (Kate) Sauls, Kristin (Lance) Bailey, Cole (Kendall) Hallman, Emily Hallman (Sean Boyle), Noah Hallman, Jay (Brittany) Pate and Tyler Pate (Ali Thomas); long time companion & caretaker, Faye Hunt and her daughter, Whitney Hunt; numerous nieces & nephews and other relatives and friends.

Mr. Parrott was preceded in death by his step sons, Jamie Hicks and Sam Hicks; siblings, Sydney F. Parrott, Donald Parrott, Harry Lee Parrott, Lois P. Gill and Annell P. Matthews.

A Celebration of Life service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

The family would like to extend a “Thank You” to Nita Hunt and Crescent Hospice for their love and compassionate care.  Also, a special “Thank You” to his nephew, Warren Parrott, whom he thought of as his son.
