Mrs. Ella Faye Sims Floyd, 68, of Cades, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at her residence.
Mrs. Floyd was born on April 11, 1956, in Florence, daughter of the late Alvin Floyd and Buena Clemmons Floyd. She was a retired Seamstress from Avondale Manufacturing and was of the Pentecostal Faith. She was a loving mother and gran-gran to her grandchildren, great grandchildren and fur baby, Molly.
Surviving are her daughter, Merty Rose Sims Lyles (Johnny Cook) of Cades; grandchildren, Courtney Lee Sims, August Mercedes Sims, Samuel Wesley Sims, James Tyler Sims, John Mitchell Sims, Wanda Faye Sims, Brittany Nicole Sims, Ethan Randal Ridgeway, Haley Jayden Ridgeway, Luke John Ridgeway, and Kaleb Blake Ridgeway; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Kelly (Sandra) Floyd; other extended family and numerous grand dogs.
Mrs. Floyd was preceded in death by her first husband, Samuel “Junior” Sims; second husband, Ray Floyd; sons, Wesley Alvin Sims, and Samuel Junior Sims, II; siblings, Ernest Floyd, Terry Floyd, Roger Floyd, Ann McClam, Mary Sue Williams and Linda Welch.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Floyd Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery.
