Frances Madray Turner, 86, wife of the late Author Ross Turner, died Friday, May 28, 2021, at MUSC of Florence.
Mrs. Turner was born on March 14, 1935 in North Charleston, daughter of the late Charles Jhue Madray and Mamie Whetsell Madray. Mrs. Turner was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church for 17 years. She worked at Charleston Manufacturing Company as a seamstress and retired from Don Kenny. Mrs. Turner loved her family, attending church and fellowshipping with her church family. She enjoyed visiting with friends & family and sitting on her porch.
Surviving are her son, John Rickie (Evelyn) Turner of North Charleston; nieces and nephews, Audrey (Charles) Peagler, Ann (Legrand) Hicks, Charles Madray, Brenda (Rodney) Kinsaul, Sue (James) Calhoun, Don Miller, Pricilla (Terry) Powell, Eddie Turner and Joel Madray.
Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert P. Madray and Floyd V. Madray; sister, Sue McDaniel; nephew, Bobby Dean Miller.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 1, 2021, at Prospect United Methodist Church, Pamplico. Burial, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, will follow at Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at the Prospect United Methodist Church.
