Gay Sue Gould “Skeeter”, 71, wife of the late Reverend James Edgar Gould, died Friday, April 1, 2022, at The Heritage Home, Florence.
Mrs. Gould was born May 4, 1950, in Moncks Corner, daughter of the late Augustus McKelvie Wilder and Nancy Driggers Wilder. She was a devoted, loving preacher’s wife and caregiver. Mrs. Gould was a member of Sounds of Victory Holiness Church. She worked in the kitchen at Hannah Manor, at youth camps and Camp Meetings for years for the Free Will Baptist Church of the Pentecostal Faith.
Surviving are her children, Robert (Michele) Gould of Luther, OK, Marie Floyd of Lake City, Becky Gould of Effingham; sisters, Mildred Dangerfield of Moncks Corner, Joyce Standridge of Dublin, TX, Judy (Terry) Wyndham of St. Stephens; brother, Ray (Debbie) Wilder of Moncks Corner; grandchildren, Ashley Renee Gould, Shawn Christian Gould, both of Luther, OK, Breanna Alexis Floyd and Mason Alexander Floyd, both of Lake City; and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Gould was preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Lee Wilder Winningham, Thelma Arlene Brinson; son-in-law, Rodney Floyd.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, April 4, 2022, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton, with burial to follow at Matthews Cemetery, Coward.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, Monday, April 4, 2022, at Carolina Funeral Home.
