Geneva Spell Carmichael, 92, wife of the late Clinton Carmichael, died Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at her residence.
Mrs. Carmichael was born on December 14, 1928, in Darlington County, daughter of the late John Quincy Spell and Sena Ard Spell. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and retired from Tupperware.
Surviving are her children, Lynn C. Pope and Barry Dean (Jeannie) Carmichael, both of Hemingway; grandchildren, Chris Pope of Hemingway, Melinda (Mark) Howard of Johnsonville, Jennifer (Nathan) LeBlanc of Murrells Inlet and Scott (Kaycie) Carmichael of Florence; great grandchildren, Jacob Howard and Katelyn Jordan; great great grandchild, Emma Grace Kvadas; and a brother, Everette Spell of Florence.
Mrs. Carmichael was preceded in death by a son, Randall Carmichael; son-in-law, Mike Pope and 12 brothers & sisters.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, November 19, 2021 at El Chapman Worship Center, Hemingway. Burial, directed by Carolina Funeral Home, to follow at Garden of Devotion, Johnsonville.
The family will receive friends 1:00 – 2:00 PM, Friday, November 19, 2021 at El Chapman Worship Center, 1352 Hemingway Hwy, Hemingway, SC.
