Glenn O. Weaver, 66, husband of Judith Weaver, died Friday, July 2, 2021, at his residence.
Glenn was born on August 20, 1954, in Florence County, son of the late Jerry Legrand Weaver and Maurice Lee Weaver. He was a graduate of Lake City High School and earned his Civil Engineering Degree from Florence-Darlington Technical College. Glenn was owner/operator for Glenn Weaver Construction Company and attended Abundant Life Church, Florence. Glenn enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an awesome "Pa" to his three granddaughters and loved riding them around the pond on the "bop-bop", and teaching them to fish. Glenn loved family vacations at the beach where he enjoyed early morning walks looking for shells with his wife, Judith. He had a great passion for fishing that he loved to share with others and enjoyed camping with his brothers. Glenn also enjoyed gardening and he was a skilled craftsman who loved building and working with his hands. He enjoyed good music and good books. Glenn never met a stranger and his laughter and smile were contagious. He loved his Heavenly Father and was a man of faith who led his family and built a foundation on Christ for them to follow. Glenn waited eagerly each Sunday night for his telephone call from his brother to have family prayer. He was an amazing, loving and faithful husband, daddy, pa, brother and friend that was loved by so many and will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
Surviving include his wife of 46 ½ years, Judith Lee Weaver; children, Dana Weaver (Matthew) Jordan of Olanta and Jenna Weaver (Jack) Witherspoon of Florence; grandchildren, Georgia Addyson Calcutt and Hadlee Glenn Witherspoon, both of Florence and Ella Bliss Jordan of Olanta; brothers, Gerald (Jennifer) Weaver of Turbeville and Billy (Julie) Weaver of Lake City; sister-in-law, Freda Self (Mike) Huggins of Dallas, NC; number of nieces and nephews.
