Harriet Floyd, 88, of Pamplico, died Sunday, October 10, 2021, at MUSC Health of Florence.
Mrs. Floyd was born on March 29, 1933, in Williamsburg County, daughter of the late William Curtis Stone and Leila Smith Stone. She was a member of New Prospect Free Will Baptist Church and worked as a seamstress. She was first married to the late Bill Powell and then to the late Deleon Floyd.
Surviving include her sons, Billy (Lanell) Powell of Johnsonville and Terry (Priscilla) Powell of Pamplico; daughter, Gwendolyn Benton; grandchildren, Deacon Powell, John Powell, Kathleen Kirby, Emmett Powell, Bill Powell, Tammy Harrell, Susanne Prosser, Justin Powell, Katie Chandler; great grandchildren, Makayla Sawyer, Shane Aikens, Graeson Powell, Tiffton Powell and Chip Chandler; 1 great great grandchild, Amelia Sawyer; 9 step children; 18 step grandchildren; 44 step great grandchildren; 2 step great great grandchildren.
Mrs. Floyd was preceded in death by her son, Lash Powell; siblings, William C. Stone, Jr, Lenette Stone, Edith Carter and Rosa Lee Thompson; daughter-in-law, Theresa Powell.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at New Prospect Free Will Baptist Church, Pamplico, with burial to follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at New Prospect Free Will Baptist Church, Pamplico and at other times at 1389 Greentree Circle, Pamplico.
