Harriet Keefe Driggers

Funeral  services for Harriet K. Driggers, 95, will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton, SC.  Harriet passed away at her home on Friday evening after an extended stay under the loving care of the Amedisys Hospice Care team.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Lake City Memorial Park.

Mrs. Driggers was called to her heavenly home on Friday, May 9, 2025. Born on August 6, 1929, in Lower Florence County, to her parents, Andrew J. Keefe and Rowena Lyerly Keefe. She shared her parents with siblings, Crystoline Daniels (Henry), Allen Keefe, Sr. (Leona), Furman Driggers (Liston), Verona Mae Lynch (Pete), Josephine Anderson and Ralph Keefe.  All of whom predeceased Harriet. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Trella Driggers of El Paso, TX.

She was married to the late Jacob L. Driggers for 63 years. Harriet and Jacob shared 4 children of which she is survived by Don (Linda) and Jerry both of Paris, TX, Ann of Gaston, SC, Barbara Grice (Larry) of Leesville, SC and Carl of the home. Granny as she was lovingly called, is also survived by 6 grandchildren, with their spouses, 13 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, Macie, whom she longed to meet but time just did not allow and another one on the way. Harriet is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews who would take the time to chat it up with her when she would call and we thank you ALL so very much for being so sweet to answer the calls.

The family would like to thank mom’s care team from Amedisys, you all provided excellent care for her, the kindness, support, shoulders to lean on, and the gift of encouragement for us to care for our mom in the home until she had to leave us.  We appreciate you all so very much.
