Mr. Stephen Harvey Campbell, 86, husband of the late, Dorothy Cameron Campbell, passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at McLeod Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Campbell was born on November 8, 1939, in Florence County, son of the late Stephen Harrington Campbell and Zadie Miles Campbell. He was a member of Unity Free Will Baptist Church. Mr. Campbell retired from Electro Motive Mfg. Co. and was also a retired farmer.
He was affectionately known by his friends and family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as “GG.” He loved his family very much and cherished every moment he spent with them.
Surviving are his children, Wayne Nicholson, Debbie Nicholson, Michael (Patty) Barfield, Judy Morris and Teresa (Mac) Gaskins; grandchildren, Matthew (Gabby) Nicholson and Tyler (Chelsey) Nicholson; great grandchildren, Landon, Scarlett and Emery; sisters, Roberta Barfield, Faye Haselden, Annie Rae Haselden and Carolyn (Norman) Poston; his beloved cat, Frisky.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was deceased by his brother, Donald Campbell; half- brothers and half-sisters, Creola Dennis, Angie Poston, Alma Hayes, Georgia Lee Hook, Chalmers Campbell, Ozzie Campbell, Robert Campbell and Wesley Campbell.
The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to his caregiver, Kitty Tidwell, for her love and care.
Memorials may be made in his memory to a charity of one’s choice.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Carolina Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM, at Garden of Devotion Cemetery, 800 S. Georgetown Hwy, Johnsonville, SC.
