Mrs. Hattie Jean Lynch Flowers, 69, wife of the late Larry Mitchell Flowers, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at her home in Coward.
Mrs. Flowers was born on July 11, 1956, in Florence County daughter of the late Tillman Lynch and Bessie Blackman Lynch. She devoted many years to her work, first as a seamstress with Marlowe Manufacturing and later with IGA in Lake City. Known for her caring spirit, Mrs. Flowers found her greatest joy in tending to her garden and cherishing time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the true center of her life.
Surviving are her children, Ronnie M. (Crystal) Flowers, Gary C. (Joie) Flowers, and step-daughter, Brenda L. (Ted) Urquhart; grandchildren, Jacob (Devon) Flowers, Ethan Flowers, Riley Flowers and Charlie Flowers; great grandchildren, Lawson, Josie and Eli; sisters, Mary Ann Dease, Sandra Ann (Kelly) Floyd, Bessie Mae Young; brothers, Bobby (Susie) Lynch, Multer (Susie) Lynch and Jack Lynch.
Mrs. Flowers was preceded in death by her brother, Roger Dale Lynch; brothers-in-law, Wade Dease and Larry Young.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Carolina Funeral Home, with funeral services to follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel. Burial will follow at Scranton United Methodist Church Cemetery.
