Helen Marie (Jones) Nettles

Mrs. Helen Marie Nettles, 92, wife of the late Dwaine Nettles, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Carlyle Senior Care of Kingstree.

Mrs. Nettles was born on April 14, 1932, in Florence County, daughter of the late Jolly DeLeon Jones and Marine Cooper Jones Wells. She was a member of Leo Church of God and was formerly employed with Wentworth Manufacturing and Georgeann Apparel. Mrs. Nettles was a homemaker, who loved to work on the farm with her husband, cook for everyone, loved her chickens, biscuits and always had a match in her pocket, so she could start a fire whenever it was needed or not.

Surviving are her children, Larry (Diane) Nettles, Pansy (Wayne) Ard, Rose Ann Fenstermacher, Leroy (Nancy) Nettles, DeLeon (Melissa) Nettles and Joseph “Joe” Nettles; grandchildren, Stephanie Harrison, Latrelle Ard, Trina (Scott) Evans, Quint Ard, Buffy (Ryan) Roberts, Michelle (Jody) Weaver, Leigh Anne (Shane) Tisdale, Mikie (Johnlyn) Nettles, Ashley (Erica) Nettles, Ben Floyd and Tracy (Bobby) Oliver; great grandchildren, Megan Delman, Haleigh Evans, Victoria Worrell, Savanna Worrell, Madison Roberts, Caitlyn (Matthew) Hicks, Emily Weaver, Jaeleigh Markin, Allie Tisdale, Hunter (Nicholas) Bryant, Langley Nettles and Ava Floyd; great-great grandchildren, Maddie Delman, Hailey Delman, Jake Gaskins, Colt Gaskins and Collin Bryant; brother, Forest Terry (Linda) Wells.

Mrs. Nettles was preceded in death by her great grandson, Josh Wise; siblings, Joyce Jones Herrin and Little Johnny Jones.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 PM, Sunday, December 8, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM, Sunday, December 8, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, 215 East Hwy 378, Bypass, Scranton, SC 29591 with burial to follow at Lee Cemetery, 2430 McCutcheon Road, Lake City, SC 29560.
