Obituary
Hilda Johnette Bowen, 73, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence.
Hilda was born on November 23, 1949, in Florence County, daughter of the late John Russell McCutcheon and Elizabeth Hutchinson McCutcheon. Hilda was always smiling and loved her children and grandchildren. She had many friends and she supported the Florence Shag Club for many years. Hilda was a very good cook and enjoyed watching the Food Network shows. She loved animals of all kinds, but really enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels.
Surviving are her son, Bryan Bowen of Scranton; daughter, Dawn (Chad) Cheek of Olanta; grandchildren, Melissa Graziani of Ohio and Aden Cheek of Olanta; great grandchildren, Evelyn White and Theodore White, both of Ohio; brother, Tyler (Pat) McCutcheon; niece, Jessica Bernal of Mullins and nephew, Jay Koopman of California.
Hilda was preceded in death by a grandson, Frank Graziani and a sister, Greta Bernal.
A Celebration of Life will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton.
