Hoyt Legett Springs, 86, husband of the late Willa Mae Gaymon Springs, died Saturday, March 28, 2020, at McLeod Hospice House, Florence.
Mr. Springs was born on July 29, 1933 in Coward, son of the late Clen Springs and Bertha Broach Springs. Hoyt was a carpenter and farmer and a member of Central Holiness Church.
Surviving are his daughter, Charlene Nettles of Batesburg; son, Tim Springs of Lake City; grandchildren, Lydia Lloyd, Amy Springs and Joshua (Chelsea) Springs; daughter-in-law, Wanda Springs Poston of Scranton; sisters, Ruby Nicholas of Sumter and Shirley (John) Feagin of Mt. Pleasant; four-legged grands, Nellie Bell the donkey and Jake the dog.
Mr. Hoyt was preceded in death by his son, Donnie Springs and brothers, Alton Springs, Jimmy Springs and Cecil Springs.
Funeral services will be private due to Covid-19.
