Mrs. Inez Parrott Kirby, 88, wife of the late Arthur Lamar Kirby, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2024, at her home in Scranton.
Mrs. Kirby was born on March 7, 1936, daughter of the late Eulee Parrott Hanna. After retiring from Campbell Soup in Sumter, she was a caregiver to many. Mrs. Kirby was a former member of Midway Holiness Church in Scranton and a member of Scranton Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are her children, Nyoka (Nelson) Goins, Arthur Lamar (Nancy) Kirby, Jr., Myra D. Linke, Teddy Lamar (Marie) Kirby; grandchildren, Felicia Goins, Jason Lamar Kirby, April (Dan) Welch, Ashley, Ke-Ke Aldazaba, Sabrina Kirby, Alisia (Shawn) McFadden, Jeffery Allen Kirby, Michelle (Jeff) Gunnells and Jessica Kirby; great grandchildren, Cloey, Nehemiah, Katie, Eathon, Jace, Makenna, Daniel, Nathan, Latoya, Cameron, Sweetpea, Liza, Noah, Alyssa, Isaiah, Destinee, Journee, Chance, Quest, Caleb, Joshua, and Keira; great-great grandchildren, Grayson, Rylan and Easton; two brothers.
Mrs. Kirby was preceded in death by her daughter, Janice Faye Kirby; a number of brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Strickland-Feagin Cemetery.
