Jacquelyn Harmon Lynch, 91, wife of James Carlisle Lynch, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024, at her home in Lake City surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Lynch was born October 10, 1932, in Hemingway, SC, a daughter of the late Clifton Harmon and Elizabeth Johnson Harmon. She was a graduate of Hemingway High School and later received a Bachelor Degree in Business. Mrs. Jacquelyn was a longtime, faithful member of the Lake City First Baptist Church, where she served in many capacities. For many years, she and her husband were influential in the operation of the family business, Lynches Tobacco Warehouse.
In addition to her husband, James C. Lynch, she is survived by her son, Jim Lynch and wife, Tammy; her daughter, Sue L. Jordan and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Wade (Mary) Jordan, Russ (Christi) Jordan, JC Lynch, Mary Lib (Devlin) Curl, Whitney Lynch, Daniel (Bobby) Freeman and Troy Fennel; Nine great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Henry Harmon.
The family would like to thank the staff of Gentiva Hospice and her close friends and caregivers, Jancie McCutcheon, Lucille Taylor, Wanda Hancock and Erica Wilkes, for your love and excellent care given to Mrs. Jacquelyn during her extended illness.
Memorial Services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at the Lake City First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services in the church fellowship Hall.
