Mr. James Kenneth Pratt, Sr., 88, husband of the late Janice Faye Prosser Pratt, passed away Friday, April 17, 2026, at McLeod Loris.
Mr. Pratt was born on July 15, 1937, in Saginaw, Michigan, son of the late Ray S. Pratt and Alice Forman Pratt. Mr. Pratt retired from G.M. in Saginaw, Michigan. Ken was very mechanically inclined and enjoyed working with his hands. He was an avid outdoorsman who won several fishing contests and also earned recognition in buck contests in Saginaw County, Michigan. Ken and Janice also enjoyed traveling together and making many cherished memories along the way.
Surviving are his son, James Kenneth (Beverly Miller) Pratt, Jr. of Sunset Beach, NC; daughter, Tammy (Bo) Pratt Cockfield of Lake City; grandchildren, Kendall (Kevin) Wingard of Turbeville, Clint (Anna) Cockfield of Mt. Pleasant, Miles Jamison Pratt of Lake City, Christian (Cori) Umstead of Arlington, TN and Taylor Hentrup of Los Angeles, CA; great grandchildren, Lola and Eva Umstead, Heyward and Hampton Wingard, Anna Warren and Rowe Cockfield; son-in-law, Larry Hentrup; brothers, Gary Pratt and Ray Pratt; sister, Gail Joan Pratt Prosser, Diane Leona Pratt, and Dawn Maxine Pratt Jackson.
Mr. Pratt was preceded in death by a daughter, Dana Pratt Hentrup; brother, Richard Ray Pratt.
A family led memorial service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 23, 2026, at High Hill Free Will Baptist Church, Scranton.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
