Obituary
James Henry Tomlinson, 88, husband of the late Emma Jo Truluck Tomlinson, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at his home in Olanta.
Mr. Tomlinson was born on February 19, 1935, in Florence County, son of the late H.B. Tomlinson and Elsie Kelly Tomlinson. He was a member of Olanta Baptist Church. Mr. Tomlinson worked in the textile industry and in later years was a courier for Pee Dee Isotopes, of Florence.
Surviving are his sons, Jimmy (Donna) Tomlinson of Conway and Bobby Tomlinson of Olanta; daughter, Terri Lynn Thomas of Olanta; grandchildren, Lauren Tomlinson, Amber Sellers and Jennifer (Chris) Sawyer, all of Florence, Jessica (Stephen) Harrelson of Virginia and Chris (Alden) Thomas of Phoeniz, AZ; and 7 beautiful great grandchildren; grand-dog, Chester, who was his constant companion and loyal friend.
Mr. Tomlinson was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Jo Tomlinson; sister, Nida Jane Tomlinson and his twin brother, Frank.
Per Mr. Tomlinson’s request, a private committal service will be held at a later date.
