James Russell Williamson, 81, husband of Brenda Cook Williamson, died Saturday, December 19, 2020, at his residence.
Mr. Williamson was born on November 5, 1939 in Kingstree, son of the late Julius H. Williamson and Pauline Taylor Williamson. He was a graduate of Hebron High School and a Veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Russell was retired from Civil Service in Parris Island and his family lived in Beaufort for 40 wonderful years before moving back to Lake City around 2008. He was a member of Cades Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and woodworking.
Surviving are his wife, Brenda Cook Williamson of Lake City; son, Paul (Kathie) Williamson of Charleston; grandson, Ashton Williamson of Charleston; and sister, Iris Benton of Beaufort.
Mr. Williamson was preceded in death by his sons, Darry Williamson and Rodney Williamson; brothers, J. H. "Sonny" Williamson and George Albert Williamson.
Graveside services will be 2:30 PM, Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at Williamson Cemetery, Kingstree with visitation from 1-2 at the funeral home prior to the services.
