Mr. Jason Ronnie Ard, 47, of Pamplico, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at his residence.
Mr. Ard was born on July 15, 1978, in Florence County, son of the late Ronnie Ard and Rita Poston Coleman. Jason was a proud 1996 graduate of Johnsonville High School. Shortly after finishing school, he felt called to serve his country and entered the United States Army, completing his basic training at Fort Jackson. He continued his service with the Patriot Missile Unit at Fort Bliss and was later deployed to Saudi Arabia, experiences that shaped him and deepened his dedication to his fellow soldiers.
After returning home, Jason continued his military career with both the South Carolina Army and Air Force National Guard, remaining committed to service long after his active-duty years. He later worked with the United States Department of Agriculture in Florence, South Carolina, where he served as a technician and was known for his reliability, steady work ethic, and willingness to help others. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and long walks with his dogs Bonnie and Duke.
Surviving are his son, Wyatt Ard; brother, Clinton Ard and his step-father, Bob Coleman, along with several cousins.
Mr. Ard was preceded in death by a sister, Adrianne Ard.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM, Friday, December 5, 2025, at Union Baptist Church, Pamplico, with funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM in church sanctuary.
