Mr. Jason “J.J.” Tucker, 45, of Olanta, husband of Amber Cook Tucker, passed away Monday, December 9, 2024, at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center.
Mr. Tucker was born on January 12, 1979, in Florence, son of the late Elmar Ray Tucker and Latrell McKenzie Tucker. Prior to becoming disabled, he worked as a heavy equipment operator. He was an avid Gamecock fan, very generous and willing to help others. Mr. Tucker formerly served as a little league coach with Olanta Recreation and was well known in the community for his Bar-B-Que.
Surviving are his wife Amber Cook Tucker; daughter, Madeline Aleece Tucker; son, Jack Westen Tucker; apple of J.J.’s eye, Elijah Tucker; sister, Sherrie (Bobby) Culick; brother, Sam (Melissa) Tucker; special nieces and nephews, Madisyn Mixon, Gemma Tucker, Taylor Mixon, Chris Mixon and Dominic Gray; many other nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.
Mr. Tucker was preceded in death by siblings, Elmar Ray Tucker, Jr., Deforrest Wade Tucker, Jeffrey Chad Tucker and Charles Brad Tucker.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM, Friday, December 13, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Friday, December 13, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Tucker Hill Cemetery, Olanta.
