Jennifer (Rice) Weaver

Mrs. Jennifer Rice Weaver, 60, wife of Gerald Weaver, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024.

Mrs. Weaver was born on November 28, 1963, in Royston, GA, daughter of the late Thomas Garrett Rice and Janet Barton Rice.

She taught second grade at Carolina Academy in Lake City for 20 years. She was a gifted teacher and each of her students held a special place in her heart. Mrs. Weaver dedicated herself to her students and her family.

Mrs. Weaver loved teaching, but she loved being a Mom and Grandmother even more. She was the most humble, caring, kind and thoughtful person. She enjoyed her Bible Study group and her love for Jesus helped her put a positive outlook on almost any situation.

“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” – John 13:35

To be loved by her was such a gift, she is going to be missed more than words can say.

Surviving her are husband, Gerald Weaver; daughter, Caroline (Garrett) Hall; sons Garrett Weaver and Joshua Weaver; brother, Garry Rice; sisters, Kathryn (Richard) Honour and Karen (Eric) Thomas; granddaughter, Elizabeth Hall; brother & sisters-in-law, Billy (Julie) Weaver and Judy Weaver; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Mrs. Weaver was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas & Janet Rice; brother, Lee Rice and brother-in-law, Glenn Weaver.

A Celebration of Life will be 4:00 PM, Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at Carolina Academy, 351 S. Country Club Road, Lake City, SC 29560.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
