Jessica (Grups) Driggers

Mrs. Jessica Grups Driggers, 44, of Lake City, devoted wife of over 17 years to Brad Driggers, passed away peacefully and painlessly on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at her home.

Mrs. Driggers was born on February 12, 1981, in St. Louis, MO, daughter of John Grups and Joan Ebenreck Grups. She attended Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mrs. Driggers was a graduate of West Florence High School and Francis Marion University. She dedicated her life to education and service, making a profound impact on the lives of many. She was employed by University Instructors, where she served as a supervisor with the No Child Left Behind program, working tirelessly to support and uplift students in need of academic assistance. Her passion for helping children succeed reflected her caring and nurturing spirit, despite facing health challenges that led to her disability. Mrs. Driggers had a wonderful sense of humor, a beautiful smile and loved her family dearly.  

Surviving are her husband Brad Driggers of Lake City; parents, John & Joan Grups of Murrells Inlet; brother, Joseph (Allison) Grups of Charleston; nieces, Delanie Grups, Courtney Driggers, Brandi Driggers and McKenzie Hurt; nephew, Bruce “Brucie” (Abbie) Hurt, Jr.; great nephew, Ryder Hurt; in-laws, Lamar & Ethaline Driggers; brother-in-law, Doug (Sharon) Driggers; sister-in-law, Cheryl (Bruce) Hurt; special cousin, Sue (Troy) Wieberg; numerous aunts, uncles, extended family.

Mrs. Driggers was preceded in death by two siblings, Adam Barnett Grups and Katherine Elizabeth Grups; brother-in-law, Todd Driggers.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Carolina Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
