Willie James "Jimmy" Miles, 70, husband of Jeanette Powell Miles, died Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at McLeod Hospice House, Florence.
Mr. Miles was born on April 21, 1948 in Gastonia, NC, son of Maga Lee McDaniel Stuckey and the late Willard Miles. He was a graduate of Lake City High School and was a retired Supervisor with W. Lee Flowers. Jimmy enjoyed gardening, fishing, painting and was a diehard Clemson Fan. He was first married to the late Linda Tedder Miles.
Surviving are his wife, Jeanette Powell Miles of Coward; daughters, Amy Miles (Barry) Floyd of Coward and Christina Miles (Travis) Springs of Effingham; step children, Ricky Weaver and Nancy Thornhill, both of Coward; grandchildren, Logan Watford, Alaina Floyd, Cohen Springs and Landry Springs; step grandchildren, Chris (Kim) Weaver, Jessica (Greg) McKenzie, Justin (Kirsten) Weaver and Danielle Thornhill; nine step great-grandchildren; sister, Debbie (Ronnie Dale) Welch of Turbeville; and a number of nieces, nephews and extend family members.
Mr. Miles was preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Miles.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 30, 2019, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton, with burial to follow at Matthews Cemetery, Coward.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 30, 2019, at the funeral home, prior to the services.
