Joann (Floyd) McClary

Joann McClary, 67, of Kingstree, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at MUSC Medical Center, Charleston.

Mrs. McClary was born on December 14, 1955, in Williamsburg County, daughter of the late Deleon Odell Floyd and Mildred Louise Godwin. She was a simple woman, enjoyed going to flea markets, was a great cook and a loving mother & nanny. Mrs. McClary loved children and animals, but especially her dog, Rosco.

Surviving are her son, Christopher W. (Amy) McClary of Lake City; grandchildren, Ava McClary and Ethan McClary, both of Lake City; longtime boyfriend, Roy Nexsen of Kingstree; special nephew, Adam Nexsen of Kingstree; sisters, Willa Lee Floyd and Brenda (Jay) Matthews, both of Kingstree, Debra (Billy) Feagin of Lake City and Dale Ard of Florence; many other nieces and nephews.

Mrs. McClary was preceded in death by her siblings, Loraine McKnight, Shirley Jean Blackburn, Donna Faye McGee and Linwood Floyd.

Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon, Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Sandy Bay Pentecostal Holiness Church, with burial to follow at Williamsburg Cemetery, Kingstree.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 12:00 Noon, Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Sandy Bay Pentecostal Holiness Church.
