Mr. John Thomas "Bubba" Keefe, 88, husband of the late Adell Collins Keefe, died Thursday, December 24, 2020 at Loris Rehab and Nursing Center after an illness.
Mr. Keefe was born on November 12, 1932 in Pamplico, son of the late Thomas Cleveland Keefe and Myrtis Poston Keefe. He attended Pamplico School System and was a member of VFW. Mr. Keefe was a Veteran of the United States Navy having served in The Korean War. He retired after serving 21 years as a Senior Chief Boatswain's Mate and received multiple good conduct awards from the Navy. After retiring Mr. Keefe was the owner and operator of Keefe's Ceramic Tile Company.
Surviving are his son, John Perry (Jennifer) Keefe of Lowell, AR; grandchildren, Kacey Louise (Joe) Serrano of Cave Springs, AR, Darian Nicole Keefe and Austin Thomas Keefe, both of Bentonville, AR; great grandson, Baylor Keefe of Bentonville, AR; stepsons, Harold (Sharon) Collins of Santa Maria, California and Auburn (Bobbie) Collins of North Myrtle Beach, SC; step daughter-in-law, Joyce Collins of San Antonio, Texas; step grandchildren, Chris Collins, David Collins, Richard Collins, and Justin Collins; step great grandchildren, Ryder Collins, Ciena Collins, Kayla Collins, Kelsey Collins, Ty Collins and Kayana Collins; sisters, Audrey Gaskins of Lake City and Peggy Eaddy of Hannah; and a host of nieces, nephews, step nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Mr. Keefe was preceded in death by his daughter, Wendy Lorraine Keefe; stepson, Howard Collins; and sister, Mildred McKissick.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel. Burial with Military Honors to follow at Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1256 Big Swamp Road, Pamplico, SC 29583.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
