Joseph Mitchell Welch

Mr. Joseph Mitchell Welch, 57, of Effingham, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at his residence.

Mr. Welch was born on December 8, 1966, in Manning, son of the late Fred Welch and Patsy Lee Welch. He was a mechanic, enjoyed fishing, cheating on UNO, tinkering, and spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife, Cynthia McKenzie Welch of Effingham; daughters, Chasidy (James) Glasco, Heather (Donald) Payne and Kasey McKenzie, all of Florence; grandchildren, Haley (Jacob) Morris, Taylor McKenzie, Breanna Strickland, Jordan Payne and Evan Glasco; 3 great grandchildren; siblings, Marbeth (Johnny) Gibbons, David Welch, Lindy Welch, all of Turbeville and Sam Welch of New Zion; many nephews and nieces; dog, Peanut.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Olanta Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Funeral services will be 4:00 PM, Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Olanta Pentecostal Holiness Church, with burial to follow at the church cemetery.
