Mrs. Joyce Benton Lamb, 77, of Lake City, wife of Raymond Lamb, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Lexington Medical Center.
Mrs. Lamb was born on December 22, 1947, in Florence County, daughter of the late David Mitchell Benton and Pearlie Mae Dowdy Benton. Mrs. Lamb was a lifelong member of Stone Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she faithfully served as Women’s Ministry Director, Sunday School Teacher, Choir Director, as well as many other roles throughout the years. She worked for many years in the medical field as an Insurance Specialist. Mrs. Lamb was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother, and her love for her family and her church was evident in every part of her life.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, Raymond Lamb, is their son, Dr. Wade Lamb and his wife, Gina; two grandchildren, Benjamin Lamb (Amanda) and Matthew Lamb (Sarah Pruitt); her brother, Joe Benton (Betty) of Conway; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Mrs. Lamb was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Ann Powell Wise.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM, Friday, November 7, 2025, at Stone Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church and other times at the home of Dr. Wade and Gina Lamb, 3531 McKenzie Road, Lake City.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM, Friday, November 7, 2025, at Stone Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, with burial to follow at Lake City Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stone Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1996 W. Hwy 378 Hannah, Pamplico, SC 29583.
