Joyce B. Mullen

Mrs. Joyce B. Mullen, 89, wife of the late Bill Mullen, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at her home in Lake City.

Mrs. Mullen was born on April 1, 1935, in Indiana, daughter of the late Ralph Frederick Broeking and Cecilia Zimmer Broeking. She attended Lake City Presbyterian Church and worked as a bookkeeper for Marshall’s Marine and Carter Manufacturing prior to retirement.    

Surviving are her daughter, Joy Sturms; grandchildren, Lee (Lauren) Sturms and Lars (Elizabeth) Sturms; great grandchildren, Boe Reese, Elijah Reese, Zach Reese, Natalie Reese, Sarah Sturms and L.J. Sturms; brother-in-law, Richard Fulkerson; and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Mrs. Mullen was preceded in death by a great grandson, Dominic Sturms and a sister, Jean Shannon.

The family would like to thank Agape Hospice for their care and concern.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 12:00 PM, Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with Committal to follow at Florence National Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
