Mrs. Jozell Nettles Lee, 96, of Scranton, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Lee was born on March 12, 1929, in Florence County, daughter of the late Aught Nettles and Ida Matthews Nettles. Mrs. Lee was a faithful member of Matthews Tabernacle Pentecostal Holiness Church. During her working years, she was employed as a seamstress at Wentworth, where she was known for her skill and dedication. She lovingly helped raise many children throughout her life and was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was truly the cornerstone of her family—steadfast, nurturing, and deeply cherished by all who knew her.
Surviving are daughter, Louise Yates (Robert Cason); grandchildren, Patrick Quincy Harrell, Jr. (Dani), Kimberly Thompson (Greg), Lance Harrell and Sherry C. Harrell (Donald); great grandchildren, Tiffany Eaddy (Mike), Patrick Allen Williams (Nicole), Carroll Brandon Harrell (Olivia), Elizabeth Abrams (Josh), Leann Thompson, and William Harrell; 4 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Mrs. Lee was preceded in death by a son, William Carol Lee; siblings, Dudley Nettles, Alpha Jean Tilton, and Evie Lou Feagin; great grandson, Quentin Brooks Thompson.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM, Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Carolina Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 3:00 PM in the chapel.
Burial will follow at Lake City Memorial Park.
