Mrs. Judy Hoover Henegar, of Florence, wife of Robert M. “Bobby” Henegar, passed away Monday, January 20, 2025, at McLeod Regional Medical Center of the Pee Dee.
Mrs. Henegar was the daughter of the late Earl L. Hoover and Vera E. McCants Hoover. Mrs. Judy, a vibrant soul who worked in sales and was a dedicated member of the First Presbyterian Church for over thirty years, possessed a heart of gold. A three-time cancer survivor, she courageously used her experiences to uplift others, offering encouragement and sharing her strength. Always outgoing and brimming with love, she wasn’t shy about expressing her affection for her family and friends. Her zest for life extended beyond her community, as she cherished traveling, especially her beloved trip to Aruba. A true animal lover, she adored her cherished companion, Lizzy.
Surviving are her husband of 42 years, Robert M. “Bobby” Henegar of Florence; siblings, Ronald E. (Ina) Hoover of Charleston, Dorry H. Schultz of Lexington and John E. (Myra) Hoover of Charleston; daughter-in-law, Mirtie B. Anderson of Lake City; host of nieces, nephews and cherished friends, whom she loved with all her heart.
Mrs. Henegar was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth D. Anderson, Jr; special lifelong friend-cousin, Jessalyn W. Thomas.
A Celebration of Life will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at First Presbyterian Church, Florence. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Private burial will be held at a later date.
