Ms. Judy Ann Wilkes Jowers, 74, of Scranton, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024.
Judy Ann was born on October 19, 1949, in Florence County, daughter of the late Linwood L. Wilkes and Alberta Martin Wilkes. She was a member of Scranton United Methodist Church and worked as a caretaker many years for families dealing with Alzheimer’s and Dementia.
Surviving are her daughters, Jennifer “Jen” McGee Waggoner of Summerville and Amanda Jowers (Derrek) Scott of Florence; grandchildren, David Cole Waggoner, Hannah Grace Waggoner, Sarah Olivia Waggoner, all of Summerville, Nolan McKenzie Scott, Delaney Harper Scott, Scarlet Reese Scott, Ella Mercy Scott, Vivianne Jackson Scott, Presley Elyse Scott and Psalm Alexander Scott, all of Florence; brother, Jack Wilkes of Cussac Crossroads; and a very special four-legged Maltese companion, Lola. Lola will reside with Jen and family in a loving home in Summerville.
Judy Ann was preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Linwood Wilkes.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM, Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home, 215 East Highway 378 Bypass, Scranton, SC 29591.
Graveside services will be 2:15 PM, Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Lake City Memorial Park, 522 West Main Street, Lake City, SC 29560.
