Judy Dell (Cooke) Jones

Mrs. Judy Dell Cooke Jones, 83, wife of William B. Jones, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023, at McLeod Hospice House, surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Jones was born on July 8, 1939, in Scranton, daughter of the late Harmon L. Cooke and Mae Bell Gaskins Cooke. She was a graduate of Lake City High School and retired from Winn Dixie. Mrs. Jones was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Surviving are her husband, William B. Jones of Coward; daughters, Tammy (Peter) Matthews, Barbara Galloway and Billie Jean (Jeff) Hunter, all of Coward; grandchildren, Brooke (Jake) Chamberlain of Lake City, Justin (Tyra) Galloway of Savannah, MO, Hunter Evans, Kaitlin Galloway (Ricky) and Logan Matthews all of Coward; 8 great grandchildren; sister, Delores Moore of Hartsville.

Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her grandson, Brandon Evans.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at High Hill Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at High Hill Free Will Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
