June (Vause) Yarborough

Mrs. June Vause Yarborough, 81, of Coward, passed away Friday, August 2, 2024, at The Palms of Florence.

Mrs. Yarborough was born on June 4, 1943, in Florence County, daughter of the late Don C. Vause and Leona McKnight Vause. She worked at local convenience stores as a store clerk and always had a loving heart and a big personality for customers. Mrs. Yarborough was a protector of her family, and adored her only child, Kevin, along with her two grandchildren and one great grandchild. She enjoyed drinking Pepsi, fishing, watching birds and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her son, Kevin (Rhonda) Yarborough of Coward; grandson, Hunter (Caroline) Yarborough of Effingham; granddaughter, Kaylee Yarborough of Timmonsville; great grandson, Ridge Yarborough of Effingham; brothers, Don (Miriam) Vause of Florence, Mitchell (Sandra) Vause of Evergreen, David Vause of Florence, and Curtis Vause of Lexington; sister, Gloria Smith of Sumter; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Yarborough was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Yarborough; a brother, Charles Vause and a brother-in-law, Joe Smith.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Monday, August 5, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, August 5, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel. The burial will be private.
