Mrs. Karen Bazen Edens, 66, of Pamplico, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at McLeod Regional Medical Center of the Pee Dee.
Mrs. Edens was born on August 6, 1959, in Florence County, daughter of the late G.W. Bazen and Virginia Driggers Taylor. Mrs. Edens was a member of Gilead Free Will Baptist Church. She was a retired certified dietitian who faithfully served in the healthcare field for more than 25 years. Mrs. Edens was known for her fun-loving spirit and her love for visiting the beach, especially Folly Beach. She cherished spending time with her family and enjoyed being outdoors, particularly fishing. She was an outgoing person who brought joy to those around her. Mrs. Edens was also a wonderful baker and was known for sharing her kindness and love with others. She had a deep love for music, a beautiful smile, and a contagious laugh that brightened the lives of all who knew her.
Surviving are her daughter, Gina Feagin of Simpsonville; son, Brock Connell of Greenville; grandchild, Kaitlyn (Dylan) Rumer of Simpsonville; one great grandchild on the way; long-time partner, Martin McDaniel; brother, Wilson (Emily) Bazen of Laurens; sister-in-law, Sharon Bazen of Scranton; brother-in-law, Leonard Poston of Scranton; Best Friend, Cheryl “Byrd” Trayner of Pamplico; nephews, Jacob (Leah) Poston of Scranton and Douglas (Keli) Poston of Florence; niece, Kimberly (Alex) Dove of Pamplico; great nieces, Sophia and Marley Poston.
Mrs. Edens was preceded in death by brother, Thomas Earl Bazen; sister, Connie Poston; father of her children, Dale Connell.
A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Gilead Free Will Baptist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
