Mrs. Karen “Kaye” Lowder Nettles Lee, 71, of Lake City, wife of Ezra Coley Lee, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2024, at McLeod Hospice House.
Kaye was born in Lake City, on October 28, 1952, daughter of the late Erby Smith Lowder and Mary Edna Langley Lowder. She retired as a Claim’s Processor for Blue Cross/Blue Shield, after many years of service.
Surviving are her husband, Ezra Coley Lee; son, Micah “Mikie” DeLeon (Johnlyn) Nettles; two granddaughters, Hunter Lynn (Nicholas) Bryant and Langley Nicole Nettles; her first great-grandson is due in September of 2024; sister, Cheryl (Richard) Cook; brother, Steve Lowder; a special niece, Mary McKnight Lussier and numerous nieces and nephews.
Kaye was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Betty Lowder Burgess, Mavis Lowder McKnight and Nancy Lowder Norman; brother, Erby Ned Lowder.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Lake City Memorial Park.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to service at Carolina Funeral Home, and at other times at the home of Mikie and Johnlyn Nettles, 3268 Creek Road, Lake City.
