Mrs. Kathryn Smith Woolley, 94, wife of the late Harold K. Woolley, passed away on Monday, December 29, 2025, at her home in Kingstree.
Mrs. Woolley was born on September 10, 1931, in Williamsburg County, the daughter of the late Clarence Liston Smith and Clelia Mixon Smith. She was the owner and operator of her own business, Harold’s Bakery, where she proudly served the Lake City community. She also worked at Belk for more than 26 years.
Mrs. Woolley dearly loved her family and enjoyed working in her yard, especially caring for her flowers. During her more than 53 years of marriage to her late husband, Harold K. Woolley, the couple traveled extensively throughout the world during his years of service in the United States Air Force.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth B. (Charlene) Woolley of Kingstree, Vickie Woolley Kirven of Cades, and Kathy Woolley of Murrells Inlet; six grandchildren, Joe Mellette, Kathryn Lance Buffkin, Sims Boyd, Bruce Woolley, Courtney Woolley, and Mitch Snipes; and great-grandchildren, Dalton Woolley, Blair Woolley, Keaton Woolley, Olivia Buffkin, Hadley Page Boyd, Amelia Boyd, Madison Snipes, and Amelia Snipes, along with step–great-grandchild, Carson Tollison.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Woolley was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
In keeping with Mrs. Woolley’s wishes, there will be no service.
