Kathy (Hicks) Tunstall

Mrs. Kathy Hicks Tunstall, 74, of Lake City, wife of the late Donald Samuel Tunstall, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2025, at McLeod Hospice House.  

Mrs. Tunstall was born on July 12, 1950, in Florence County, daughter of the late Roy Lee Hicks and Addie Kathleen Poston Hicks. She graduated from Hannah-Pamplico High School and earned a degree in cosmetology from Williamsburg Technical Community College. She had a passion for hairstyling, enjoyed cooking, shopping at T.J. Maxx, solving puzzles, and watching the news. Above all, she cherished spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her children, Katheryn (Michael) Jackson and Samuel Tunstall, both of Lake City; grandsons, Seth Evans of Coward and Will Evans of Lake City; sisters, Ruthette Hicks (Robert) Cagle of Hemingway, Rebecca Hicks Gaster of Pamplico and Annette Hicks Cooke of Lake City; along with numerous nieces and nephews.  

Mrs. Tunstall was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Hicks Tanner.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Lake City Memorial Park, 522 W. Main Street, Lake City, SC 29560.

The family will receive friends immediately following the services at Lake City Memorial Park.
