Mr. James Kenneth “Ken” Morris, 59, of Lake City, husband of Judy Barfield Morris passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Parkwest Medical Center, Knoxville, TN.
Ken was born on June 16, 1964, in Florence County, son of the late Iven Daniel Morris and Evone Poston Morris. He was a graduate of Lake City High School and was a member of Matthews Tabernacle Pentecostal Holiness Church. Ken was Service Manager for Marshall’s Marine. He had the longest career with Marshall’s Marine, serving 44 years with the business. Ken was a family man, who loved family and his church. Ken was a member of Pinewood Game Club and Black Oak Hunting Club, where he loved to deer hunt.
Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Judy Barfield Morris; sons, Jordan Kenneth (Alanna) Morris and Jarrett Dylan (Jeana) Morris; grandchildren, Adelyn Morris, Layla Morris, Carter Morris, Peyton Morris and one on the way; brother, Danny Morris; nieces, Emily (Scott) Matthews and Taylor (Cade) Jordan; nephews, Mike (Nicole) Morris, Brandon (Ashley) Gaskin and Caleb Barfield; mother-in-law, Martha Roberta Barfield; brother-in-law, Michael (Patty) Barfield; sister-in-law, Teresa (Mac) Gaskin.
Ken was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Charlie Barfield; sister-in-law, Mona Morris; nephew, Joshua Gaskin; great niece, Anna Kate Matthews.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Sunday, May 5, 2024, at Marshall’s Marine, 114 East Myrtle Beach Highway, Lake City, SC 29560.
Funeral services will be 4:00 PM, Sunday, May 5, 2024, at Marshall’s Marine, 114 East Myrtle Beach Highway, Lake City, SC 29560.
Burial will be Private.
